Planning on using your debit card abroad?

Our Visa Debit and Service cards are accepted at 30 million retail outlets and 1 million ATMs worldwide, just look out for the VISA symbol before using your card as normal.

Register your travel details with us at least 24 hours before your trip, and we’ll do our best to ensure your holiday spending isn’t affected at all. You can register your card in the 'Manage my card' option in the Mobile Banking app. Find out more about Mobile Banking.

Debit Card Fees and Charges - Euro Transactions

This table outlines debit card charges for transactions made in Euro currency.

Please note that Transaction Fees listed below only apply to the Current Account, Standard Account, Dual Account, Current Plus Account and Facility Account.

The Adapt Account (available to customers aged 11 to 18 only) is exempt from Transaction Fees, Commission Charges, Exchange Rate Transaction Fees when making a purchase or cash withdrawal in Euro anywhere in the world.

****Sterling cash withdrawals made from Ulster Bank (Northern Ireland), RBS (Scotland) and NatWest (England & Wales) ATMs are exempt from Transaction Fees, Commission Charges, Exchange Rate Transaction Fees except for the Current, Current Plus, Dual, Facility and Standard Accounts which are charged the €0.35 transaction charge per withdrawal from those ATMs.
