The Hendrick Hotel logo
The Hendrick Hotel in Dublin’s Smithfield is Ireland’s first urban art hotel and opened its doors in May 2019, with the support of Ulster Bank who provided Investment Funding for the project.
The Hendrick was developed and is operated by the promoters and siblings behind the Dublin Loft Company, Mark, Andrew and Kelly Cosgrave and represents the Groups first completed Hotel project.
The Hendrick has 146-rooms, with self-check-in and check-out technology, a vibrant ground floor bar, outdoor courtyard space and more than 270 works of Irish and international street art, curated by Irish street artist James Earley.
Commenting on the transaction, Eddie Cullen, Managing Director, Commercial Banking Division, Ulster Bank said: “Ulster Bank are proud to have helped fund The Hendrick Hotel project which is without doubt a truly unique and innovative accommodation experience, I have no doubt this will be a great addition to Dublin’s Smithfield.”
Kelly Cosgrave, Director, The Dublin Loft Company commented on the recent deal with Ulster Bank, “We are thrilled to have worked with Ulster Bank in the funding of this project. In the designing of The Hendrick, we wanted to offer guests a space that challenges the expectations of a city hotel. With Smithfield's creative flare in mind, the hotel displays not only edgy interiors but superior quality beds, exceptional showers and signature cocktails to be had at the bar.
"We feel The Hendrick is a blank canvas for anyone visiting the capital. It’s up to you to make it your own and experience a totally different side of Dublin."
