I've finished my application and have my account details
Great, you will shortly receive written confirmation of your new account details.
We'll set up a standing order for you or transfer money from an existing Ulster Bank account, if you asked us to in your application.
Alternatively, if you have our mobile app or Anytime Banking* you can arrange a transfer or set up a standing order once your account is opened or visit us at the branch to do this.
Your account will show in Anytime Banking within 24 hours of being opened.
You can also arrange a transfer or set up a standing order with another Bank by simply contacting them with your new account details.
*Anytime Banking is available to those aged 11 and over with an eligible account.
App available on most smartphones to customers with Anytime Banking and a Republic of Ireland or international mobile number.

Sometimes we need a bit more information to confirm your identity and address and validate your income. We try to do this electronically but sometimes we need to see physical proof. You can provide this in one of two ways:
You'll shortly receive an application pack in the post detailing exactly what documents we require. Simply visit your local branch where your documents will be validated and your application completed.Book an appointment now
You can return your documents along with your signed aplication form using the freepost envelope provided in your application pack. Your documents will need to be certified first.
When can i view my account online?
Once your new savings account has been opened, your account will be available to view online within the next working day
What you need to open a bank account
We try to verify your details electronically, but sometimes we need to see physical proof. We will be in touch within 48 hours if we require any further information from you.
We can accept a passport or Republic of Ireland/UK driving licence to verify your identity and a bank statement or utility bill to verify your address.
If you don't have these documents, don't worry, there are other forms of ID and address verification that we can accept.
